  • This position supports the Geospatial Services & Solutions business area to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions to the customer. As part of the GSS Team the Database Architect's expertise is needed to support a sophisticated enterprise environment.
  • The Database Architect is an active participant in SAFe and Scrum development teams and meetings. The Database Architect will be responsible for developing and deploying custom solutions to the customer's enterprise environment.
  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies PostGresDB table architecture
  • Ability to optimize queries, indexes, and configuration settings for high performance
  • Defining designing scalable schemas that meet business requirements while ensuring performance and maintainability
  • Monitoring existing database performance, identifying architectural bottlenecks and providing architectural enhancements to increase performance
  • Architects a database structure supporting a globally distributed set of sites
  • Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures
  • Works under the guidance of the Scrum Master to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery
  • Provides progress updates to Scrum Master and the team to ensure the management of any delivery risks or concerns
  • Works with the team to plan future sprints, define stories and estimate efforts
  • Provides technical support and consultation for database questions
