Responsibilities

  • To provide nextGen Search architecture and leadership to Marketplace Team across our GBT Solutions. This position will closely work with Product owners, business partners and Search engineers to come up with nextGen architecture plans, technology choices, design and lifecycle, and information integrity. A search principal engineer will resolve, develop architectural approaches & solutions, conduct architectural reviews and recommend how to proceed with the applications (replace, retire, maintain, etc.).
  • Key areas of accountability include leading the development of nextGen Architecture Solutions for Marketplace Team; leading in the evaluation of new technology around Search – Semantic search, LLMs, Vector Databases.
  • Drive overall search platform roadmap and implementations.
  • Participate in the Architecture assessment and design for infrastructure domains that provide core capabilities for the Marketplace.
  • Participate in the Architecture design of integrated systems across Marketplace and GBT solutions.
  • Define which data is extracted and the rules by which it is transformed for simple to moderately complex projects.
  • Participate in nextGen technology evaluation and recommendations.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of current and planned north star architecture.
  • Applies a GBT wide view to support the adoption of standards and practices and promote reuse, specifically around AI Search.
