Responsibilities

  • Define the system architectures and requirements for Automotive Ethernet PHYs based on their application in In-Vehicle Networks (IVN) and work closely with the R&D team to ensure their correct implementation.
  • Interact with customers (car manufactures and tier-1 suppliers) to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Negotiate product specification details with both customers and R&D while also having the ability to articulate the linkage between performance criteria and device specifications.
  • Cooperate with other system architects at NXP and external 3rd parties to define new and innovative product and solution concepts.
  • Understand process technologies, packaging options, functional features, design/system constraints and trade-offs, propose viable solutions for the target products.
  • Work with product marketing to contribute and influence the definition of successful product roadmaps. Assist marketing with deriving market requirements, technical definition trade-offs and validating value propositions and competitive analysis.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and participate in internal functional team and customer meetings worldwide.
  • Contribute to thought leadership activities through presentations at conferences, trade fairs, articles, etc.
