Responsibilities

  • As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the thorough cleaning of public areas, communal spaces, stairwells, and offices within the prison facility. Adhering to a pre-determined cleaning schedule, you will perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning walls, doors, windows, and other fixtures. You will also handle waste management, ensuring that waste receptacles are emptied daily, and rubbish is disposed of following internal waste management procedures. Your role will require the use of appropriate signage and cleaning practices to maintain safety standards. You will need to replenish cleaning stock in areas of responsibility and ensure that all frequently touched surfaces are sanitized regularly to maintain high hygiene standards. Working within a secure environment, you will be expected to deliver a professional and effective service, ensuring the prison environment remains safe and clean.
