Requirements

  • You have 4+ years Product management experience in a user-centric business
  • You have experience working in a cross-discipline agile team with a designer, data scientist and team of engineers
  • You have previously worked on a large, complex product, ideally with experience in platform product management combined with a solid understanding of user experience.
  • You are comfortable prioritizing challenging partner asks and using data and insights to drive these decisions
  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, and able to explain technical concepts and ideas to all types and levels of collaborators
  • You’re collaborative by nature and get energy from working in cross-functional teams and bringing people together
  • You feel comfortable working across multiple initiatives and balancing many priorities at a single point of time

Responsibilities

  • Support testing and shipping innovative technology that reaches our users at the right place and time, in a sustainable way for Spotify
  • Work to deeply understand user behavior when interacting with our messaging formats and user controls
  • Work alongside other product managers in the Messaging Platform & Tooling Product Area to combine the messaging experience with a robust operator experience
  • Establish relationships with cross-functional partners — including other business units, product areas, legal, and support — ensuring feedback is prioritized and ultimately leads to a better experience for both Spotify listeners and our message operators
  • Continually refine and communicate the product strategy
  • Help to define and own team goals and objectives and key results with focus on Mission level impact
  • Engage with the engineering teams and contribute to, and lead, aspects of their agile scrum practices (ie. participation with standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, quarterly planning and retrospectives)
  • Coordinate across product teams to ensure that relevant teams are informed about your roadmap, committed to their part in it and involved in delivery where necessary
  • Partner with User Research and Data Science to ensure the team has the right product insights and understands the needs of all its various users and partners
