What are the main responsibilities of the Project Assistant?
The main responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Project Manager, facilitating procurement, tracking financial and administrative activities, managing budgets, monitoring and evaluating project activities, and liaising with the UNDP country office and global BIOFIN administrative team.
What qualifications are required for this position?
The minimum education requirement is secondary education. A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Biology, Forestry, Public Administration, Administration, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.
How much work experience is required for the Project Assistant role?
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project assistance with secondary education, or at least 2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
Is knowledge of biodiversity conservation required?
While not strictly required, at least 2 years of relevant experience in biodiversity conservation, environmental, or natural resources-related projects with government or NGOs is desired.
