Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized Community College OT/PT Assistant program.
  • 2 years acute care hospital based experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Working as a member of the inter-professional team for weekend coverage, the PTA/OTA assistant supports patients with treatment modalities under the direction of the Physiotherapists.
  • They assist patients with mobility and maintaining/improving their functional level.
  • This role reports to the Manager Professional Practice.
  • The Physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistant is scheduled for one Saturday and Sunday shift out of every 4 weekends.
  • Where there is a statutory holiday, this holiday is included in as part of the long weekend.
