Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree required. University of Alberta degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a cross-cultural setting
  • Experience in recruitment, public relations, promotion, communications, and/or event planning
  • Public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of U of A's undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Knowledge of general and specific admission requirements for the Alberta system and major international education systems is an asset
  • Experience using Peoplesoft, Tableau, and Alfresco systems
  • Advanced CRM skills, Slate, preferred
  • Fluency in French

Responsibilities

  • Responds to and manages, while maintaining customer-service oriented standards, large flows of student inquiries and messages
  • Coordinates and directs the flow of prospective student queries within international recruitment and around UofA.
  • Manages a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to aid in the generation of applications for admission and conversion of applicants to registrants. Records all activity in the CRM system (currently, Slate).
  • Manages and approves the shipping of recruitment materials and monitoring of stock levels.
  • Represents the University of Alberta at virtual recruitment events
  • Provides administrative support for the International Recruitment Unit.
