Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably with 1-2 years of research experience) or demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience
  • Basic computer skills, particularly database, spreadsheet and word processing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical and scientific terminology
  • Progressively responsible experience in a clerical position.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, study protocol and local SOPs.
  • Create source documents, collect and transcribe study-related data and/or review data and resolve queries.
  • Collect, process and ship biological samples as mandated by specific protocols and as per IATA regulations.
  • Design consent forms and making revisions as required.
  • Obtain informed consent from recruiting research participants and administer interviews with research participants using standardized questionnaires.
  • Collect data via phone calls, interviews.
  • Educate participants as required re: research schedule and/or the use of data collection tools.
  • Responsible for communicating and maintaining excellent rapport with Sponsors, study monitors and team members as appropriate.
  • Creation, organization and maintenance of study documents and files.
  • General office duties e.g. filing, faxing, mailings, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Available and willing to be on site after hours to perform research related activities
