Requirements

  • The successful candidate should possess the following:
  • Advanced degree (Masters) in Petroleum / Reservoir Engineering / Geo-Energy
  • Experience (work placements / internships etc) in commercial reservoir engineering roles.
  • Practical experience with RE / Simulation software, (preferably SLB - eg. Eclipse, Intersect, Petrel)

Responsibilities

  • It is expected that the successful candidate will provide advanced reservoir engineering support for commercial products and services, responsibilities may include:
  • Resolving escalated technical support tickets from internal & external customers.
  • Executing and advising on consulting projects for internal & external customers.
  • Delivering training and support to product teams, reservoir engineers, and customers in the application of software solutions.
  • Contributing to Customer Success initiatives, delivering advanced domain solutions and innovation (AI/ML).
  • Participating in the testing of software products, evaluating technology performance and relevance of the workflow to the customer.
  • Assisting the product teams during product or service introduction, including documentation, publications, presentations and training packages.
  • Proposing new development areas for the product teams and defining requirements for new customer workflows.
  • Carrying out technical studies and participating in technical reviews and audits.
  • Writing and reviewing technical publications.
  • Participating in external professional societies and internal technical communities.
  • Participating in recruiting and mentoring of junior petroleum/reservoir engineers
  • Complying with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
  • Completing required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, driving).
