Requirements

Responsibilities

  • The Real-World Evidence (RWE) Investigator is an important scientific position responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and execution of cutting-edge, effective, and efficient real world evidence strategy for drug and enablement projects at global level or for key critical markets. He/she works in close partnership with the global RWE Strategy Therapeutic Area Lead to develop consensus among diverse scientific, technical, and business experts to ensure high scientific rigor and timely, cost-effective study or project delivery while adhering to ethical requirements and responding to business needs.
  • Partner with and support the Real-World Evidence Strategy Lead(s) on the design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and internal and external communication of specific epidemiological/outcomes research studies.
  • Provide strategic input, epidemiological/outcomes research support, and leadership to project teams and the RWD&ES Team during all stages of pharmaceutical development to maximize the market potential of products, manage risks, and optimize epidemiological processes and methods.
  • Deliver specialized research to enhance the effectiveness of RWE contributions to regulatory submissions and the drug research process including discovery, development, and commercialization across assigned products.
  • Support the end-to-end execution of real-world studies ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, to specification and of high scientific rigor that demonstrates commitment to quality.
  • Provide innovative thinking regarding the design of clinical and epidemiological/outcomes research programs that support commercialization.
  • Set standards for utilization of real-world evidence, provide methodological leadership and input to real-world evidence strategies.
  • Identify and validate external fit-for-purpose data sources, associated institutions and/or organizations, in collaboration with other members of the RWD&ES team.
  • Provide support to the Real-World Evidence Team and to the company in a specific epidemiological/outcomes research area of expertise, and typically, in a specific therapy area.
  • Maintain timely communication and close alignment with team members, partners and stakeholders to ensure clear and timely visibility the evidence strategy, study progress and anticipation of challenges and risk mitigation.
  • Work seamlessly with partners and stakeholders to identify solutions in an optimal and efficient manner; synergize and optimize resources and efforts where appropriate.
