Requirements

  • We are looking for individuals with an undergraduate degree (or equivalent relevant experience), who possess experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment.
  • A higher degree in a relevant subject area (Masters or PhD), a teaching qualification (PGCert or equivalent) and/or Senior Fellowship of the Advance Higher Education Academy is desirable, but not essential.
  • You must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, as you will be expected to use these tools in both teaching and supporting students’ skills development across various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and developing the following areas on the course:
  • Typography and layout design
  • Fundamentals of visual communication and design
  • Graphic design principles and techniques
  • Brand strategy, brand identity design and brand experiences
  • User interface and user experience design
  • Semiotics and visual communication
  • Design history, theory, thinking and innovation
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students
  • Monitor progress and attendance
  • Maintain essential records to ensure students’ academic and personal development
