Responsibilities

  • Providing professional, strategic and operational legal advice and assistance to manage and mitigate legal risks;
  • Developing and implementing policies and processes, in order to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks;
  • Working with the global functions to ensure a positive legal risk and governance culture is enabled and embedded;
  • Working alongside other members of the wider businesses and legal team to assess, evaluate and undertake potential business development activities e.g. strategic partnerships, transactions and complex commercial contracting structures;
  • Providing an escalation point for complex technical queries and ensuring their effective and commercially sound resolution;
  • Keeping up to date with external best practice and developments in the law in order to maintain up to date knowledge and ensure continuous improvement;
  • Supporting the team in building and managing relationships across the global functions to manage legal risk; and
  • Supervising, co-ordinating and managing external legal advisors.
