Requirements

  • BAC or DEC in electromechanical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5 years’ experience in 3D electro-mechanical engineering and manufacturing of distribution equipment as switchboards, panelboard, and industrial control equipment.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Creo), PLM (Windchill) and ERP system (SAP preferable).
  • Strong communication skills, bilingualism. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining the high attention to details, team player.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical design for electrical distribution and control equipment according to customer specifications and R&D guidelines. Conduct project reviews meetings and present design solutions, identify risks, improvement opportunities, validate solutions and drawings.
  • Provide engineering support to production to resolve all engineering inquiries, collect, and analyse production and control quality feedback, perform incremental product improvements to increase production efficiency.
  • Address technical queries and respond to project delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and the customer satisfaction. Provide engineering consultancy to customers and methods to delivery specification requirements.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain and vendor functions to meet contractual requirements.
  • Perform product lifecycle documentation management in compliance to standards.
  • Influence and share best practice in engineering disciplines, looking to enhance department performance ability to deliver quality client solutions.
