Requirements

  • - Proven track record & recent comparable experience in a merchandising role
  • - Digital channel experience (including digital merchandising)

Responsibilities

  • - Lead the merchandising efforts in the Commercial team, responsible for translating the category strategy into actionable plans that deliver agreed stock parameters to all Sainsbury's Argos channels and ensure their successful execution.
  • - Drive profitable growth for your ranges and those of your teams by creating and implementing a customer-driven strategic vision.
  • - Manage pricing, negotiate and source with suppliers, oversee product development and launches, plan promotions and events, analyse trading performance, manage financial budgets, optimise stock and supply chain management, and ensure excellent channel management to deliver exceptional availability and consistency to our customers.
  • - Provide leadership and support to your team.
  • - Actively participate in business improvement projects.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic change and overall business improvements.
