Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Government Relations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing consumer finance and/or technology public policy positions
  • Experience working directly or indirectly with Executive Branch agencies
  • Experience counseling senior leaders on high profile, public policy issues
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and influences decision makers

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on public policy priorities impacting Wells Fargo’s Consumer, Small & Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Technology, and Enterprise Payments functions
  • Develop public policy positions for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Assets, Payments, and Credit Cards
  • Provide senior leaders with updates on public policy matters and equip them with the information needed to form public policy positions
  • Lead planning initiatives with cross-functional work groups to develop advocacy strategies and comment letters
  • Participate in trade association working groups and coalitions
  • Facilitate engagement with CFPB, OCC, the Fed, and Treasury on non-supervisory matters
