  • Manage the tipping area, ensuring thorough compaction and waste coverage at the end of each day
  • Managing and controlling hauliers on site, ensuring their and others' safety
  • Inspect the landfill for hazards, instability, or environmental issues like gas emissions or leachate
  • Perform duty of care checks on waste streams and products, ensuring they comply with acceptance criteria
  • Perform routine checks and minor repairs on machinery and maintain the landfill site, including litter control, general housekeeping, and other operational tasks that improve the site's effectiveness, such as managing and maintaining the site wheel wash and controlling and managing dewatering equipment
