Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical specialist for curated publishing, planning and maintaining a forward schedule of archive and cross-BBC content — identifying opportunities to resurface high-performing or timely material to drive incremental audience growth within agreed editorial and performance parameters.
  • Publish and optimise content across multiple social platforms, ensuring accuracy, compliance and platform-native quality, while maintaining consistent publishing cadence, account integrity and presentation standards.
  • Monitor and refine performance across curated and daily output, using insight to inform content selection, scheduling and optimisation decisions.
  • Assess and respond to cross-team requests for content amplification, applying agreed editorial and performance criteria to determine inclusion within the curation schedule and managing stakeholder expectations clearly and professionally.
  • Support day-to-day publishing workflows, helping prioritise and reallocate tasks to maintain consistent standards and delivery across a complex, high-volume portfolio, and escalate higher-risk, rights-sensitive or reputationally complex material to the Social Media Manager where appropriate.
