Requirements

  • BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ related experience in recruiting or sourcing for qualified candidates; DoD or Engineering environment preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing Specialist, Sourcer or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and/or other Human Resources Management software
  • Familiarity with social networks, professional sites and resume databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (particularly business email writing knowledge)
  • Good time-management skills with the ability to handle various open positions simultaneously
  • Self-starter with strong initiative
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Talent Management and MS SharePoint experience.
  • Government Contracting Sourcing-Recruiting experience preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification

Responsibilities

  • use social media networks such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and the like to look for and connect with passive and active candidates,
  • interact with professionals on niche platforms such as professional organization sites, military transition offices, schools and universities,
  • review online resumes and profiles of potential candidates for qualifications that match job openings,
  • engage with potential candidates by outreaching via email, text messaging or calling to discuss Torch opportunities and build the employer brand with candidates,
  • use tools to log and track talent pipelines and to develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals for future hire and follow up with them periodically,
  • log candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System and other internal tracking databases,
  • identify future hiring needs and proactively source potential hires, and
  • attend job or industry-specific conferences and events to connect with potential candidates.
  • To be successful in this role, you will use your outgoing and dynamic personality to engage with candidates, spread our employer brand and entice candidates to apply to our positions. You will combine knowledge of sourcing techniques (Boolean searches, branding, data mining, excellent verbal and written communication skills) to achieve this mission. Ultimately, you will play a part in building a strong talent pipeline for our company’s current and future staffing needs.
