Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business communication, communications or a field related to a function of municipal government. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of full-time progressively responsible administrative and analytical experience performing organizational and operational analysis work in a government or business capacity, including experience as a supervisor. Two (2) years of recent supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.

Responsibilities

  • - Performs a broad range of highly responsible, complex and confidential administrative support and higher-level clerical coordination duties for the Department Director.
  • - Handles confidential and/or sensitive information requiring use of significant discretion.
  • - Responsibilities involve a high degree of planning and coordination activities and may include facilitating administrative processes by serving as a team leader on delegated administrative support matters.
  • - Supervise and assign work of the office support staff.
