Requirements

  • We are looking for a Band 5 Nurse with at least 12 months post qualification experience to complement our existing nursing team and to work within our dynamic and friendly team.
  • The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions including medical, surgical, trauma, orthopaedics plastics, ENT and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre non-malignant blood cancers.

Responsibilities

  • To deliver efficient, compassionate, and excellent nursing care to patients and their families which is evidence based.
  • To minimise risk and maintain safety of patients and staff; supporting the ward manager in investigating incidents and identifying ways to improve practice.
  • To actively promote the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • To use evidence-based practice and actively participate in the progression of nursing within West London Children’s Healthcare (WLCH) and Imperial Healthcare trust.
  • To demonstrate politeness, courtesy, and sensitivity in dealing with patients/clients, visitors/relatives and colleagues, maintaining good customer relations.
  • Contribute towards sharing good practice within the ward/department and Trust wide.
  • To promote a positive image of WLCH and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at all times.
  • To work cohesively with all members of the ward team in ensuring that the very best services to patients are provided at all times.
