Responsibilities

  • Supporting the wider Directorate through contributing to the development of a coherent and outcomes focused workplan, considering the prioritisation of risk and resulting strategy
  • Supporting the portfolio teams to devise the retail banking and mortgages portfolio strategies and subsequently working together with the Sector Team and others to monitor these strategies and ensure appropriate delivery
  • Working closely with the Retail Banking Director’s office, especially the Executive Assistant
  • Forming judgments on a range of topics and how these fit into the wider strategy
  • Working with the Sector Team to understand key risks facing the sector and implementing horizon scanning into the Directorate’s workplan
  • Supporting the team in feeding into cross-FCA strategic thinking requests and how these impact retail banking
