Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of the recruitment process including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure accuracy of external and internal job postings in accordance with civil service and hiring policies.
  • Publish, socialize, and refresh job postings and announcements; position management in NYCAPS (opening, closing, canceling job positions).
  • Partner with hiring managers and the Junior Manager of People and Culture to develop job descriptions and hiring strategies.
  • Maintain and update any applicant tracking reports with accurate information.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics; assist with leading routine recruitment meetings.
  • Update internal project management boards regularly.
  • Collaborate with the EEO Officer to meet recruitment goals in alignment with our EEO/DEI plan to address underutilization at the agency.
  • Develop talent pipelines to assist with long-term hiring needs.
  • Report on search progress including candidate pipelines, and initiatives.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring manager(s) to obtain feedback regarding selection, and status of the recruitment process.
  • Identify opportunities and build professional relationships with associations, universities, community-based organizations, social and internal/external networking events.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external business partners (e.g., campus career services staff, local government/community engagement groups, DCAS for E-hire, third party advertising agency, internal hiring managers).
  • Maintain industry knowledge and provide recommendations of recruitment trends and best practices, souring, active/passive recruitment, and job boards.
  • Provide high quality customer service to internal and external agency partners.
  • Support People and Engagement division events and initiatives.
