Requirements

  • Experience in Human Resources, OR experience supervising a team with Toyota.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a project team.
  • Intermediate level in oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment / consensus driven organization.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability and willingness to work Sunday through Thursday shift, 7:15 PM to 4:00 AM, and cover other shifts when needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Minimum education of High School diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Management, Communications, or closely related business field.
  • HR Generalist experience.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Toyota JKK/TBP completed.

Responsibilities

  • Track and verify that team is meeting customer service targets for follow-up, issue close-out, and team member concern resolution.
  • Communicate key issues and sensing activity results monthly via Regional Effective Daily Labor Management (EDLM) standard.
  • Ensure that HR results are tracked, reported to Division and HR execs, and countermeasure activity to address abnormality.
  • Support team member needs for information and support according to the Toyota Way and Respect for People culture.
  • Coach supervisors and managers through complex issues.
  • Develop / grasp current training and tools to ensure appropriate support and facilitate training for Division Management / Supervisory development needs.
  • Routinely use judgement on policy and ethics issues to protect the company and team members.
  • Oversee complex morale and engagement projects using Toyota Way principles.
  • Manage to existing processes while working through complex TMR issues.
  • Identify new opportunities or gaps in current HR processes/policies that changing business needs create.
