Requirements

  • Background in working as a mechanical, chemical and process engineer, maintenance or operation experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in maintenance management of industrial facilities and utilities.
  • Thorough understanding of database systems, and data analytics
  • Must possess process engineering skills (process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, flow optimization, root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Good understanding of process controls, part variation, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, and cost reduction methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems and programmable logic.
  • Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory.
  • Further Languages are of advantage.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate existing water treatment systems including wastewater treatment
  • Plan start-up and commissioning activities for new systems, expansion and retro-fit projects
  • Develop and lead training programs for operators for water systems
  • Integrate and standardize best safety practices for all chemical distribution
  • Understand and apply Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) concepts for incident prevention
  • Understand and apply root cause failure analysis to problems
  • Assist and lead in troubleshooting of system operational issues
  • Develop and update water quality monitoring and analysis program
  • Manage system improvement and troubleshooting projects
  • Complete monthly system operational cost analysis; drive improvement based on analysis
  • Responsible for monitoring current system demands and capacity concerns
  • Develop and update critical spares, consumables and chemical lists for systems
  • Investigate ways to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance
  • Coordinate with Environmental team for any compliance issues / improvements
  • Create and modify standard operating procedures (SOPs), system manuals, Sequence of Operation (SOO) documentation
  • Incorporate all improvements and best practices into site specifications and standards
