Requirements

  • Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree or technical background necessary with minimum 8 years of experience in a similar Environnement.
  • Strong experience in automotive electrical architectures and cables design.
  • Able to communicate in French & English (written and spoken - professional use).
  • Technical curiosity and good communication/collaboration skills.
  • Autonomous and able to work on several project in parallel.
  • Ready to work into a reactive and agile team.
  • Experience in Saber would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement complex electrical wiring harness solutions. Here we are talking about 2D activities such as drawings and schematics but also 3D tasks like harness design (depending on your skills).
  • Create and update and manage the product technical documentations.
  • Ensure design correctness and completeness for all wiring harness releases (according to Volvo standards).
  • Secure and analyze input data. Secure release on time.
  • Collaborate with others wiring engineer and the core team. The second step will be to be the leader of the wiring activities (time plan, technical expertise…)
  • Collaborate with plants, buyers and suppliers to introduce Quality, Delay, Cost, Feature and realistic solutions.
  • Assist and support current and new production design projects.
  • Analyze and fix issues related to harnesses.
  • Be proactive when it comes to continuous improvement (process, product, team organization).
