UoS Surgical Society has now launched! SurgSoc is a new society set up for students that are interested in a surgical career. Set up by students for students, we aim to help provide more information and opportunities to enhance your portfolio. Whether you’re already interested in a future in surgery, or would just like to learn more, SurgSoc will help give you a better insight into this speciality. Members will have access to various talks, events, workshops, an affiliation with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and much more to come. Our Aims: Create a network of like-minded students that are interested and passionate about surgery Give students a head start into pursuing a surgical career through various opportunities, activities, workshops and events Improve accessibility of surgery to all students, with a specific emphasis on empowering more women into surgery Establish mentorship schemes that allow students to develop their anatomy knowledge and clinical experience Join SurgSoc to stay up to date with the latest opportunities!
