Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or higher or a certificate with equivalent experience
  •  The skills and presence to effectively communicate with personnel and all levels of leadership. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to articulate ideas and proposals clearly to stakeholders
  •  Demonstrated success managing complex projects from start to finish. Excellent decision making, analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent project management skills.

  • Required Skills:
  • Students currently enrolled in a degree program in entering their Junior or Senior year
  • Ability to work for 12 consecutive weeks
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and should not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Prior sales, customer service, and/or related experience
  • Ability and desire to provide breakthrough customer service experiences
  • Creative or innovative in approach to solving problems
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to apply feedback from team to accomplish tasks

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Develop project plans, objectives, deliverables and timelines that support business needs; Monitor progress/success of projects and program execution compared to plans and escalate when deliverables are at risk; Efficiently identify and resolve program issues; Design and maintain technical and project documentation
  • Work with a global team to learn and understand sales and customer retention functions at Avalara
  • Present findings and results on various projects in live and recorded presentations.
  • Connect with customers to understand their intent/expectations of our offerings
  • Follow strategic direction from assigned manager and mentor to achieve project deliverables
  • Collaborate with assigned team to identify gaps and propose solutions
  • Partner with fellow interns to attend and participate in internship program events and activities
