Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Computer Science, Cyber or Information Security, Data Science, Information Technology, Risk Management or related field.
  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2024.
  • Have a deep interest in pursuing a career in security or risk including data protection, data loss prevention, insider threat, vulnerability assessment, intrusion/ threat detection, digital investigations, mobile device management, log analysis, identity and access management, endpoint security, security compliance, and security advocacy.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated, strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills; including writing and verbal for a variety of audiences.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
  • Experience with data protection concepts or technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Data Protection team with special projects, such as digital investigations, incident response efforts, employee education, vendor assessments and client collateral requests.
  • Assist in performing security audits and assessments, performing risk analysis, network forensics and penetration testing.
  • Develop, create, and maintain existing scripts and alerts, API integrations, or specialized utility programs.
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor networks and respond to alerts for security issues.
  • Observe and interact with software used to protect systems and information infrastructure.
  • Stay current on security trends and news. Assist the Data Protection team in developing company-wide security best practices.
  • Design and document operating procedures for security processes.
