Volunteers are required to commit to volunteering for at least 12 months after training.

Volunteers must be available for 48 hours per month on an on-call rota.

Yes, volunteers must have access to their own vehicle and be willing to drive a British Red Cross vehicle as needed.
What type of training will I receive?
Volunteers will complete approximately 19 hours of required e-learning modules and Zoom training sessions within the first few months, along with ongoing service-specific training as required.
Are there any background checks required to volunteer?
Yes, due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo an Enhanced with Adults barred Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Will I be reimbursed for any expenses incurred while volunteering?
Yes, there is an expenses policy in place that prioritizes ensuring volunteers are not out of pocket for expenses linked to their role.
