Requirements

  • Upcoming 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Ocean Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Desired:
  • Experience with Orcaflex, Mathcad, RISA3D or equivalent software.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance team on projects with constantly shifting schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out tasks as assigned by Project Engineers and the Engineering Manager. Tasks would generally be focused on technical issues.
  • Responsible for learning and assisting with the installation engineering of subsea hardware utilizing light construction vessels with ROV and Divers.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Calculations will include hand calculations and/or engineering calculation software.
  • Analysis will include both beam element and dynamic motion analysis.
  • CAD 2D and 3D drafting of project deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, articles, and technical papers.
  • Interface inside and outside a meeting setting with project team members and clients.
  • Travel to other worksites such as Morgan City, La and Port Fourchon, La in support of projects.
