Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • - PhD candidate in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • - Experience in optical design, preferably within the ophthalmic technology sector.
  • - Expert proficiency in optical design software, with a preference for Zemax.
  • - Have background in visual optics and human vision science.
  • - Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for optical modeling and data analysis.

  • - Background of Liquid Lens and Liquid Crystal Lens

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize ophthalmic lenses using advanced optical design software (e.g., Zemax).
  • Develop theoretical, optical modeling and simulation pipelines to evaluate lens performance across various lens designs and frame-wearing positions (e.g., pantoscopic tilt, wrap angle) from both optical and human vision/perception perspectives.
  • Develop metrology testing tools to assess ophthalmic lens performance and validate results against simulation and modeling data to ensure accuracy.
