Responsibilities

  • As a PREPARE Trainee (employed On Annex 21 Terms), You Will Be Supported Throughout a Four Year Training Period Combining Academic Learning With Hands On Experience
  • Up to 3 days per week with GCU hybrid delivery of on campus and online teaching and learning
  • 2 days per week working within NHS Fife Podiatry during term time
  • 5 days per week fully integrated into the service during non term periods
  • This blended approach ensures you develop strong clinical insight, practical skills, and real confidence all while contributing to the delivery of high quality patient care across Fife.
  • Successful completion of the degree and registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) will lead to appointment into a substantive Band 5 Podiatrist post within our service.
  • The podiatry service provides a comprehensive prevention and early intervention service to the population of Fife. This is delivered throughout the region from a network of Community Clinics and Hospitals, in people’s own homes or in homely settings (Care Homes).
  • We aim to deliver high quality care to patients and their carers through triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and lower limb and conditions. Our service is patient centred encouraging self care when appropriate and working together to develop individual management plans where these are indicated. Our service focuses on saving limbs and the management and treatment of complex foot and ankle musculoskeletal conditions.
