Requirements

  • Currently studying for your Undergraduate Degree in: Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Foods, Cosmetics or related science Degree.
  • If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university. Please ensure the role is suitable for your placement year.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate across functional disciplines, both inside and outside New Product Development (NPD), assists in building project programs to ensure successful delivery/execution
  • Developing formulations in the area of specialty, and/or provides analysis and evaluation of material and products at all stages of the development process, within the NPD group to a high scientific standard in accordance with the timing requirements defined in product development briefs.
  • Takes responsibility for some stages of the development process, with high level of knowledge in formulation and/or analytical chemistry, whilst ensuring the highest quality.
  • Assists in the research of new methodologies to test formulations developed within NPD.
  • Helps assess new technologies as appropriate with the Projects approved within the Stage & Gate model.
