Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/ Master degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structure & algorithms with good problem solving skills
  • Excellent coding skills with one or more programming languages such as Java/Objective-C, C/C++ or Python.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Android/iOS mobile development for applications or frameworks
  • Experience and knowledge of one or more domains below:
  • Camera operations such as auto exposure, autofocus, auto white balance, and HDR image/video capture
  • Audio/video media processing such scaling, filtering, and compression with a media framework such as FFMpeg
  • OpenGL graphics processing such as texture rendering, vertex shading and fragment shading
  • Experience with video editing and publishing operations such as cutting, filtering, transitioning, adding effects using apps such as TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and Youtube.
  • Open minded, great communication, eager to learn and always passionate about turning cutting-edge technologies into practical use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new video features including but not limited to camera operation, video recording, video editing, and video publishing to support business requirements from TikTok family of video products.
  • profile and optimize video performance and video quality, and refine user experience in each and every possible video production workflow for TikTok family of video products
  • Follow up on TikTok customer feedback, resolve customer issues promptly and bring creativity and joy to millions of TikTok creators around the world
  • Collaborate with industrial partners to turn the latest mobile audio/video processing capabilities into the best UGC creator experience in the industry
