Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related areas.
  • Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  • Fluent in at least one of the common programming languages (JavaScript / Python / Go)
  • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks starting May 2024
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience applying proper machine learning models to solve real world or coursework problems, including but not limited to, NLP and computer vision areas.
  • Developing experience in large scale distributed systems.
  • Past experience in Search, Ads, or Recommendation projects.
  • Strong interests in Search Engine Optimization or digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build highly available and scalable SEO backend systems to support the content growth flywheel on the TikTok ecosystem
  • Deliver high-quality work in a rapid and complicated product development environment through teamwork
  • Work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and PMs to evaluate and iterate SEO products to achieve business impact
