What type of qualifications is required for the Specialist Clinical Physiologist / Trainee position?
A BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent is required. Other scientific degrees may also be considered.
Is prior experience in a respiratory physiology department necessary?
Yes, experience working within a respiratory physiology department is required, along with evidence of competence in performing basic respiratory and/or sleep investigations.
What certifications are expected for this role?
The post holder should have completed (Band 6) or be working toward the ARTP practitioner certificate if applying as a trainee for the 2-year position.
Are there opportunities for Band 6 or trainees in this role?
Yes, both Band 6 and trainee positions are being considered for this role.
Is travel required for this job?
Yes, the post holder must be able to travel to various sites across Greater Glasgow and Clyde to provide diagnostic tests on a rotational basis.
