  • The ideal candidate will be able to devote a minimum of 24 hours a week to this internship.

Responsibilities

  • The goal of the internship is to give interns a clear understanding of all areas of the Alternative Investments Tax department. They will be assigned client work and will be involved in various projects. Projects will be assigned on an as needed basis. Projects can include responding to notices from taxing authorities, research tax issues, tax planning, and projections, reconciliation of book to tax income, etc. They will leave Marcum with the knowledge of what will be expected of them as staff accountants. Interns are allowed and encouraged to attend any subject matter training being offered during their internship. Marcum LLP offers 150+ courses per year, in house. Interns will also receive on the job training.
