The ideal candidate for the Tax Classification Intern role at Avalara should be pursuing a Bachelors or higher degree with attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, organized, self-driven, curious about retail products & Sales Tax, adaptable, modestly tech-savvy. Preference will be given to those with familiarity in Sales Tax law, customer service experience, research experience, and proficiency in Jira and Excel.

The Tax Classification Intern at Avalara will be responsible for accurately classifying customer product mapping files to Avalara TaxCodes, meeting deadlines, improving classification skills, learning about various industries and customer requirements, and understanding tax codes and their interaction with customer products.
