  • The position requires strong quantitative, analytical and technology capabilities. Interns must exhibit initiative and a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • The goal of the internship is to give interns a clear understanding of all areas of the Tax department. They will be assigned client work and will be involved in various projects. Projects will be assigned on an as needed basis. Projects can include responding to notices from taxing authorities, research tax issues, tax planning, and projections, reconciliation of book to tax income, etc. They will leave Marcum with the knowledge of what will be expected of them as staff accountants.
