What is the duration of the Trainee CBT Therapist position?
The position is fixed term for one year.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this role?
Candidates must apply for both the trainee role with our organization and the UCL Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Young Person IAPT Therapy.
How many trainee positions are available?
We are recruiting up to eight trainees across West London CAMHS.
What type of training will I receive?
You will receive training on the Children & Young People Mental Health Therapy Course, as well as practical experience in delivering evidence-based CBT interventions.
Will I receive supervision during my training?
Yes, the role includes regular supervision from experienced colleagues to support your development.
What types of mental health difficulties will I be addressing in this role?
You will be working with children and young people experiencing moderate mental health difficulties, such as low mood and anxiety.
Is this role suitable for candidates without previous experience in mental health?
While prior experience in mental health is beneficial, we are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals willing to learn and develop new skills.
