What qualifications do I need to apply for the Trainee CBT Therapist position?
Candidates will usually need to apply for both the trainee role with the organization and the UCL Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Young Person IAPT Therapy to be shortlisted.
How many trainees are being recruited for this position?
We are recruiting up to eight trainees across West London CAMHS.
What does the training involve?
The training will be on the Children & Young People Mental Health Therapy Course and will include both clinical work in our service and academic studies.
Is this a permanent position?
No, this is a one-year fixed-term training position.
When will the university portal for applications open?
Currently, there is a delay in the opening of the university portal, but candidates will be informed once it is open.
Do I need to have previous experience in mental health to apply?
While prior experience is beneficial, we are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioners, and individuals with relevant skills and dedication are encouraged to apply.
What will my role entail during the training?
The role will include delivering high-quality, focused evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people experiencing moderate mental health difficulties, alongside individual and group work in a CAMHS setting.
