Responsibilities

  • - Throughout your first year in post you will undertake the newly qualified nurse programme which supports your transition from pre-registered student to qualified, confident and capable health professional.
  • - This includes corporate and specialist induction, a period of preceptorship, clinical supervision sessions and Flying Start, Scotland’s national development programme for all newly qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals.
  • - As a Band 5 Nurse you’ll find that you will have the opportunity to work with really amazing nursing colleagues with day-to-day guidance provided by your peers, Senior Charge Nurses / Nurse Team Leads and Lead Nurses.
  • - Our Clinical Nurse Education Team are dedicated to supporting you in the clinical area encouraging your development with regards to knowledge, skills and career progression.
