Requirements

  • Experience of working in regulated sectors with a clear understanding of compliance in terms of systems development, operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Preferably, they will have worked in the apprenticeship sector, in either higher or further education, or industry.
  • Excellent communication, partnership and management skills.
  • Analytical and methodological approach to their work.
  • Required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a check against the children's barred list.
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
  • Expected to work from Madingley Hall for the equivalent of a minimum of two days each week, with other work conducted remotely.
  • Travel to visit employers and apprentices at their places of work will also be required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that our approach delivers an exceptional learning experience for apprentices and their employers.
  • Ensure that our planning, systems and day-to-day operations are compliant with the frameworks set by Ofsted, Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE), professional bodies and University regulations.
  • Manage a small team to ensure a data-led and learner-centred approach to compliance.
  • Work closely with employers, apprentices, academics and course administrators.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in compliance processes and practices.
  • Travel to visit employers and apprentices at their places of work as required.
