Responsibilities

  • Oversight and Accountability for all ModNet Assets for Alexander Barracks
  • Oversight and Accountability for all Communication Equipment for Alexander Barracks
  • Liasie with External Stakeholders for Internet issues (MoDNet, DBI, Winfinity)
  • First line POC for reporting and escalating issues
  • Line management of 2 x Admin Officers
  • Act as site Local Security Officer (LSO) and lead Expert User for the MODNet system including the control and administration of hardware and removable media
  • Act as the Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO) for the site’s standalone IT and Internet system
  • Liaise with HQSE CIS (Head Quarters South East / Computer Information Systems) department in processing requests and submitting of Business cases for moves and replacement of MODNet and Standalone hardware
  • Site POC for all contractors on site dealing with telecommunications and electrical works relating to IT Infrastructure hardware
  • Carry out duties commensurate with the appointment and MOD Civil Service grade required by Line Manager or Chain of Command
