Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analysing information (attraction, interview, Army Officer Selection Board) to produce suitable Solicitors and Barristers to commission into Army Legal Services (ALS)
  • To follow processes to deliver the quota of inflow into the Army Legal Services
  • Work as part of a team to meet responsibilities
  • Responsible for organising and administrating Training (Initial Legal Training to new ALS Officers, career legal courses and Continuous Professional Development)
  • Follow processes to ensure the correct officers are identified for the correct training and booking of training
  • Organisation and administration of ALS recruiting and Insight Visits
  • Organisation and administration of Military Law Training
  • To keep ALS officers individual training records up to date
  • Assist with co-ordination of all aspects of Phase 1A, 1C and 2A Initial Officers Course (IOC)
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of ALS officer security clearances bringing to their attention when their clearance needs to be renewed
