Responsibilities

  • Support to DHSC and Logistics Integration:
  • Act as the Logistics Integrator for HMNB Clyde, supporting the Deputy Head Support & Capability (DHSC).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of logistics services.
  • Responsible for embedding and adhering to all governance and policy and enable the required compliance throughout their team, ensure appropriate challenge and gain approval to deviate when necessary.
  • Logistics Improvement Plan:
  • Work with stakeholders to develop a logistics improvement plan.
  • Address requirements such as space, services, and other logistical needs.
  • Conduct a gap analysis to identify deficiencies in current logistics services and propose solutions for future provision.
  • Future Demand Signal and Integrated Operating Framework:
  • Support the development of a clear understanding of the Future Demand Signal within the Clyde Integrated Operating Framework.
  • Ensure that future logistics requirements are anticipated and planned for effectively.
  • Master List of Assumptions (MDAL):
  • Maintain a comprehensive and cohesive MDAL for support arrangements at HMNB Clyde.
  • Ensure these assumptions are captured in the baseline capacity and capability statement.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Team to ensure alignment with asset management strategies.
  • GFA/Stock Management/Audit:
  • Lead and manage Government Furnished Assets, PSSE, and all other logistics assets out with Naval Stores.
  • Point of contact for Naval Base Logistics elements relating to audits, including but not limited to FTPE, National Audit Office and NCHQ.
  • Review, refine and manage the Materials Normally Free from Naval Stores (MNFFNS) process ensuring a robust accounting process is in place and aligns to the relevant JSPs/DEFSTANs/DEFCONs etc.
  • Establish, manage and deliver a compliant audit programme for any materials being held on a Public Stores Account.
  • Review any local disposal requirements, lead for approvals and ensure any disposal recorded and are managed by the contractor.
