Requirements

  • Relevant secretarial experience, preferably within an NHS or healthcare environment
  • RSA Level III or equivalent level/ability of keyboard skills
  • Good knowledge of IT & Windows applications
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Medical Secretary qualifications, including terminology
  • Epex/WCCIS literate or have an understanding of databases
  • Ability to speak Welsh

Responsibilities

  • To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and wider medical team.
  • Works independently to defined policies and procedures and manages own workload.
  • The post holder will be primarily based at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr and will support the inpatient Consultant, and staff grades, alongside supporting both the North and South Caerphilly CMHTs.
  • The post holder will be expected to travel between sites where required.
