What qualifications are required for the Clinical Scientist - Genomics position?
Applicants should be HCPC state registered Clinical Scientists in Genomics or currently on a recognized training program leading to registration. We may also consider those with relevant background and experience wishing to pursue a band 6 pre-registration scientist training program.
Is this a full-time or part-time position?
This is a full-time permanent position.
Will I be required to work on weekends or Bank Holidays?
Yes, staff will be expected to participate in a 6-day working rota that includes coverage on Saturdays and some Bank Holidays, with time off in lieu.
What type of laboratory work will I be doing?
You will be applying highly specialist scientific skills in diagnostic laboratory genetics, including troubleshooting assays, implementing laboratory procedures, and interpreting complex genetic test results.
