Yes, the on-call commitment is primarily based at the Grange University Hospital.
What are the working hours for this consultant role?
Substantive post holders will undertake 7 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) sessions and 3 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) sessions per week.
What is the current rota frequency for the anaesthetics on-call?
The current rota frequency is 2 in 32, but it may change with appointments.
What facilities are available at the Health Board sites?
All Health Board sites offer generous departmental facilities, shared office accommodation, secretarial support, and full IT facilities.
Are there opportunities for professional development?

What support services are available for staff well-being?
The Anaesthetics department has enthusiastic leads for well-being, trained mentors, and access to the Aneurin Bevan Employee Well-Being Service, which includes trained counsellors and Psychological Therapy practitioners.
